Clydesdale Bank Packaged Bank Account Claims

Have an account with Clydesdale Bank? Pay a monthly fee for benefits beyond basic banking? You have a Clydesdale Bank Packaged Bank Account (PBA) which you may have been mis-sold.

You may be entitled to compensation.

If you have been inappropriately sold a PBA – making you pay money for products you either do not need or are ineligible for – you can make a claim against Clydesdale, even if you’re still paying the fee, or have cancelled or downgraded the account in the last 3 years.

We can make the claim easy. By claiming on your behalf, we can deal with Clydesdale direct, taking care of any paperwork, and any negotiating tactics they try to weasel out of paying you what you are owed.

About PBAs & Our Service

Not all Packaged Bank Accounts are bad. But many have been mis-sold.

There are approximately 10 million active PBAs today, with millions more having already been closed. Most have not been mis-sold. But with so many accounts active, and strong-arm sales tactics rife within the banking industry, there are potentially millions of customers paying for products they do not need, eligible for compensation from their banks.

Packaged Bank Accounts are current accounts with extras bolted on – typically insurance products like travel insurance, mobile phone insurance and breakdown cover. Many have been mis-sold either by moving customers onto paid accounts without their knowledge, or by selling products they are ineligible to use.

Clydesdale Bank PBA Claims & Brief History

Clydesdale’s PBA is called the ‘Signature Current Account’. For a whopping £13.50 per month, customers get a range of benefits from ID defence to travel insurance and car breakdown cover.

Clydesdale is one of the worst PBA mis-selling offenders, with roughly half of all complaints made against it upheld in favour of the customer.

That Clydesdale should be implicated in PBA mis-selling should come as no surprise, given a tarnished history of mortgage mis-selling – costing the bank £8.9 million in fines – and PPI mis-selling; racking up a total of £1.2 billion in compensation bills. The bank is so toxic the National Australia Bank allowed itself to lose A$4.2 billion just to get rid of it.
