A Successful Weekend

The boys have had a good weekend this weekend in terms of starting their training for the 24 hour walkathon and also in terms of publicity and PR for the event. To start the weekend off, they were featured in the Lancashire Evening Post, a newspaper in the Preston area and on the website of the newspaper.

If you want to view the article that is live on the website, you can find it here.

Yesterday, they were all interviewed for another local Preston radio station, The Bee Radio, about the walk and they all gave their thoughts on what they expected from it, how it came to be and where they were all at with their training which leads us nicely on to the training subject.

The three of them got a brisk 8 miles in the bag on Saturday walking back from Cuerden Valley parkrun in Bamber Bridge to their houses on the other side of South Ribble. Last night, two thirds of the group, Jake and Jamie got themselves another 11 miles or so in the bag ready for a full week of training this week.
